Dr. TIP, Janvibol is a managing partner of Tip &
Partners. He is licensed and authorized to
practice law in Cambodia since 1995. He obtained
his Doctor Degree (PhD) from California Coast
University, Master Degree from University of
Massachusetts, Lowell and Bachelor degree from
University Maine at Preque Isle. From 1988 to
1989 he studied Juris Doctor Program at the
Commonwealth School of Law, Lowell,
Massachusetts.
Dr. TIP has received numerous
law-training certificates, including the
Practical Legal Training for Lawyers
Certificate, awarded by the Cambodian Bar
Association, International Law Training
Certificate awarded by Hague Academy of
International Law. Other intensive law trainings
included the Legal and Judicial Cooperation
Training Certificate from Japan.
As a member of the
Cambodian Bar Association, Dr. Tip also
served on the Governing Bar Council, an
executive body overseeing the legal
professional in Cambodia from 1999-2003
and from 1997 to 1999 he was
appointed by the Cambodian Bar
Association to served as Director of Lawyer Training
Institution. Prior to his current
position Dr. Tip has served as
legal consultant and adviser to numerous
projects for both national and
international organizations, including
the United Nations, World Bank, Asian
Development Bank, as well as major
corporations in Cambodia. Attorneys and
consultants at the firm are involved in
education and professional development
activities. Many are active within the business
and legal community, give lectures, participate
in domestic and international seminars, write
articles for various legal journals and prepare
memoranda concerning changes in the law for
clients. Many lawyers have obtained law degree
from universities in both oversea and in
Cambodia. This experiences further enhance the
individual lawyer’s and staff the ability to
effectively serve the needs of the firm’s
foreign and Cambodia clients.
To complete the team, the firm has excellent
paralegal and support staff of whom assist the
lawyers in providing timely and professional
services. The support staff includes a full time
office manager, legal assistance, paralegal, translator,
secretarial and accounting staff. |
